Akane is a shy Cabbit. He enjoys conversations yet, you'll have to make the first move~ He also enjoys parallel play in which he can be a good cuddle-buddy or a ear to lend when things get tough.

His childhood wasn't good. He lost both of their parents in a battle between villages. His mother was a drug addict and would often beat him as a kid when he's done nothing wrong, his mother tried getting better when he turned 7 but, she quickly went back into her habits. When he was 14, his mother died to a drug overdose in their home, it was seen as suicide but, Akane knew it wasn't and the village healthcare team didn't really care for his family.
His father was in his life but, he wasn't the best either. He wasn't the worst but, with all that happened with Akane's mother, his father had a rough go. He was abused by her when he would try and get her to go to rehab. Ras'del would leave to go to work for days at a time and he would feel awful about leaving Akane behind, if he could take him to work, he would have. During Ras'del's time away is when the abuse would happen to Akane, thus why Akane is hyper vigilant with who he interacts with and is very introverted.
The relationship between Akane and his father was really good, even though Akane felt abandoned by his father when Ras'del would go to work, their time together was good and it got them away from Akane's mother.
They would often go fishing and shopping together, Ras'del was a really good father, treating Akane with love and compassion, Ras'del was hot headed so when Akane did something that his father didn't like, Ras'del would often raise his voice and on the rare chance hit Akane, with that- Akane later grew a hatred to his father when he was around 17 years old as when Akane's mother died when he was 14, Ras'del tried his hardest to not lay a hand on Akane but, sometimes his anger would get the best of him.
During the time when Akane was 17, is when their village and the village across the river bank had broke into a war. Ras'del had to go fight and Akane was scared and alone in his house in his room.
When everything settled down after the war, Akane just knew his father wasn't coming back. He got kicked out of his home the next day from the new leader of their village and while Akane hated this he also had it's chance to begin a new, so that's when he made his choice to travel to Gridania to become a fighter. He didn't go there until he turned 22, so he spent 6 years in U'dall making money and trying to make his life better. He was homeless there for about 2 years before he could afford anything. He would sleep on the streets and when the morning woke, he would go to work as a stocker, he would help merchants stock their stalls and make things look nice. He would only get a few gil here and there and when he had the chance he would steal food from the food venders, he got really good at being a thief but, this was his way of life before he headed to Gridania.
When he finally had enough of this poor life he had, he made his way to Gridania, there he met the twins, they had a good chat and there is when he started his journey in becoming the Warrior of Light.
